New ‘Agent Carter’ Season 2 Premiere Date and Trailers

Agent Carter returns January 19th on ABC at 8/7c!

Since the American Thanksgiving holiday weekend, there has been a lot of Agent Carter related news. The biggest news item is the change of the premiere date.  Due to the President of the United State’s State of the Union speech, Agent Carter‘s two-hour premiere is being pushed to January 19th at 9/8c. We can only guess this is because ABC is serious about Agent Carter being presented in one uninterrupted block from January to March.

We now have a total of four Agent Carter trailers available–two which came on Thanksgiving and on last Sunday.

There is a decidedly comedic tone to many of the clips that are flashed in the different teasers. It is a nice change of pace from the other more darker Marvel television shows.

Enter Mr. and Mrs. Jarvis

In the newest trailer, we get our first glimpse of Ana Jarvis–played by Outlander actress Lotte Verbeek–showing Peggy her garter holster and miniature gun.  Then flash to a later clip and it is Edwin Jarvis showing Peggy what the switches in her new car do. I am in favor of both Ana and Edwin issuing Peggy with new weaponry and gadgets. This sure will bring a new dynamic to the established team. This does also bring into question, perhaps, what Ana does for a living. How long has she been in the know about Peggy?  What exactly has changed now that everyone has moved to Los Angeles?
