Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes look at the music behind one of Marvel’s most anticipated series, Luke Cage. The show’s musical influences will play an integral role in the upcoming series. It’s hip-hop score will assist in bringing the bulletproof Harlem hero to life.

One interesting thing to note is A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge’s (the show’s composers) approach to scoring the series. The musical dual viewed each of the 13 episodes as albums with their own mix of both old and new music.
