Today Marvel and Sony released the highly anticipated second full-length trailer for this summer’s blockbuster release Spider-Man: Homecoming. Peter Parker himself star Tom Holland introduced the footage to a very eager crowd in Las Vegas Monday evening at CinemaCon 2017.  The trailer includes new footage of Spider-Man’s titular villain The Vulture and a surprising MCU cameo. Check out the new trailer below.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the second film Marvel plans to release this summer, after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in May and before Thor: Ragnarok in November. This is the first time Marvel will release three films in a single year and Spider-Man is generating a lot of buzz. From Tom Holland’s costume to the blue collar origins of the Vulture, Twitter is ablaze with reactions, which we’ve included in a spoiler section below.

Indeed, everyone’s favorite wall-crawler Spider-Man was anticipated — as was his metal-wearing mentor, Tony Stark.

Tony Stark and Peter Parker have a great father and son dynamic that’s been teased repeatedly by both actors and promotional material.  The biggest surprise of the evening was that after the events of Captain America: Civil War that dynamic appeared to be in trouble.

So what do we know? We know Peter Parker’s headstrong behavior will be getting him into trouble and that Iron Man will be “tested” as well.  Tony has never been very good at being a father figure (probably because his own was so distant) and it appears like his past might have caught up with him.  He’ll need to face his own demons as well.

Finally, Keaton’s Vulture takes on more of a spotlight – something that villain fans might be very excited about. Keaton was also featured in a new interview this week, where he discussed how he approached playing the role.

This trailer isn’t the only good news Marvel and Sony have treated fans to this month. A proposed Venom film will continue to develop a shared Sony Marvel Universe and Sable and Black Cat will be getting their own spin-off film as well.
