Secret Empire: Brave New World Announced

Greetings True Believer, I am here to tell you that Marvel has announced another tie-in to the upcoming event, Secret Empire. This one will be a full-blown companion series called Brave New World. This series will show the ramifications of the betrayal of Steve Rogers on the Marvel Universe and various characters that inhabit it. Characters that will be featured in Brave New World include Blade, Gwenpool, the Invaders and the All-New Patriot.

This series will be written by Paul Allor (Uncanny Inhumans, A Year of Marvels) with Brian Level (Uncanny Inhumans, Deadpool Mercs for Money) on art. The series will also feature back-up stories by rotating creative teams. When speaking with Nerdist, Mr. Allor had this to say:

Brave New World is going to be a vital chapter during the events of Secret Empire,… …I am so excited to tell the story of how Cap’s first allies: the Invaders–the original Human Torch, Toro, and Namor–are dealing with Steve epitomizing everything they always stood against and now how they need to defend the Kingdom of Atlantis from the tightening grip of Hydra… … One of the very interesting things about the event is the way Cap uses several different levers of power and influence to get his way; and in our Invaders story, we see the human (or rather, the Atlantean… and Inhuman… and android…) impact of several of those tactics and techniques… …Steve’s takeover is so holistic that the villains are kind of in the same boat as the heroes—they can either fall in line or stand and fight!”

The first two issues with arrive in June. No other information was revealed at this time, like the identity of this new Patriot or how Gwenpool will factor into all of this. I don’t know about you guys, but I am very intrigued by all of this and am excited to see how this all turns out. Are you guys excited? Will you be picking up Secret Empire: Brave New World? Who do you think the All-New Patriot is? Let us know in the comments below.
