The Marvel Cinematic Movie Universe just keeps on rolling! Ant-Man 2 and Captain Marvel film dates have been revealed! Ant-Man and Wasp is set to start filming June of this year (2017) and Captain Marvel is set to start to start filming in February of 2018! The movies have launch dates of July 2018, and March 2019 respectively.
Ant-man was an unexpected hit and since its success, fans of have been awaiting Paul Rudd’s return. In an article by Screen Rant it was said that during a conversation with Collider on press day for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, that Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige stated “Assuming everything stays on schedule, we start filming Ant-Man and the Wasp in June.” Peyton Reed will be directing the film and Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michael Peña will also be returning.
As for Captain Marvel, its directors were chosen just earlier this week. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck of Half Nelson and Mississippi Grind will be taking on the cosmic Air Force heroine. During that same press conversation, Kevin Feige also stated “Assuming everything stays on schedule…. we start filming Captain Marvel in February.” Brie Larson is set to play Captain Marvel.
There are no shortage of Marvel Cinematic Movies to look forward to in the future. The closet movies include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, set to release in theaters May 5th followed by Spiderman: Homecoming on July 7th. Later in the year we have Thor 3: Ragnorok on November 3rd to round us off with a healthy dosage of cosmic level Marvel love. Then, Black Panther will be kicking off 2018 on February 16th followed by the long-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th. So strap in ladies and gentlemen, if you are coming along for the Marvel ride, prepare to be in it for the long haul. With all the new shows and movies coming in the future, there is no end in sight.
