Telltale Games has released the second episode of its take on Guardians of the Galaxy. The publisher prepared for the next installment’s arrival by releasing a launch trailer on Monday, revealing two distinctly different paths that players can take over the course of this chapter. There are some minor spoilers contained in the trailer, so be wary in reading on.
The second episode, titled “Under Pressure,” picks up after the mysterious artifact known as the Eternity Forge brings Star-Lord back from the dead. The goal now becomes to get to the bottom of this object’s nature, which involves paying Yondu and the Ravagers a visit.
While the first episode offered players the chance to either meet with the Nova Corps or the Collector, “Under Pressure” will feature two of its own branching paths. The first involves Rocket returning to Halfworld and exploring his origins. The other has the Guardians seek out Nebula in an effort to have her interpret the Eternity Forge’s engravings.
The ongoing theme of Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is family, as keeping the family happy and together becomes more difficult with every choice. Try and keep the unit in one piece, as “Under Pressure” arrives today on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac, iOS, and Android. Players can pick up each episode for $4.99 or the full season for $24.99. A retail disc is also available now for $29.99.
