With Marvel and Netflix’s Jessica Jones series set to debut next month, we now know who will be directing the first two episodes.
Marvel Television and Netflix revealed today that S.J. Clarkson, who has directed episodes of Vinyl, Dig, and Netflix’s other major hit, Orange Is The New Black, will adding Jessica Jones to his credits. In addition to directing, Clarkson will serve as an executive producer on the series as well.
Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a check. – Netflix
All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones are set to drop on November 20.
