ABC Officially Cancels Agent Carter

Agent Carter concluded its second season back in late February as Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her team stopped the Zero Matter problem once and for all.

But back in March when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was renewed for a fourth season by ABC, fans of Agent Carter were left hanging as the show was not part of the initial renewals from the network. The recent season had some struggles in the ratings and with Atwell being cast, in first position, to another ABC series, the future of Agent Carter wasn’t clear.

Sadly, it looks like her adventures has come to an end as ABC announced today that Agent Carter will not be returning for a third season. With Atwell’s new series Conviction having gained strong buzz and consideration of being picked up, along with the Agent Carter show-runners being on a new ABC project as well, the cancelletion doesn’t come as a huge surprise, along with the declining numbers that this season sadly had.
