Jessica Jones season 2

Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is looking for answers. The full trailer for Jessica Jones season 2 focuses on Jessica’s investigation into the death of her family and the origin of her powers. She’s super strong (and super angry) and now we might find out why.

Check out the trailer below!

Was that Kilgrave (David Tennant) clapping at the end? Will Jessica ever get rid of that guy??

The trailer gives us a number of things to get excited about, including learning more about Jessica’s past. There appear to be a number of flashbacks to the incident that left her orphaned as well as new information about her family. Why was she experimented on? What happens when she does learn the truth? And who else is out there like her? Jess has a lot of questions to answer, but luckily it looks like she will have her trusty friends Malcolm (Eka Darville) and Trish (Rachael Taylor), who is ready to step into her role as sidekick, by her side.

The trailer also revealed a look at two mysterious new characters. First there is Terry Chen who in one scene tells Jessica she’s a “ticking time bomb”. Why does he want to buy Alias Investigations? Does somehow have connections to her past? There is also a quick glimpse of Janet McTeer, although who she is playing is still unknown. Friend or foe? It’s too early to say.

Sadly absent from the trailer are Jessica’s new friends the Defenders. While we didn’t really expect to see the presumed dead Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) or busy with his new superhero gig Danny Rand (Finn Jones), it would be nice to see Luke Cage (Mike Colter) stop by for coffee.

Besides the trailer, Marvel also released a new poster for the series. It features Jessica in the Alias Investigations office in her classic leather jacket and boots. Notably missing is her trusty bottle of whisky.Jessica Jones season 2 poster
