Spider-Man Noir (Peter Parker)

Voiced by: Nicolas Cage
First Comic Appearance: Spider-Man Noir #1 (2009)
Movie Character Description: “Spider-Man Noir is hard-boiled, he’s probably the edgiest of the Spider-Men— think Raymond Chandler, Paul Cain, those great old detective novels. He’s a 1933-era private eye and he’s fighting Nazis, so he’s a real hero.”
Additional Background: Created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico, this version of Peter Parker is exactly what his name implies. A reporter working during the Great Depression, Peter is bitten by a spider while reporting undercover and uses his newfound powers to fight crime in New York City. The character exists as a part of an alternate continuity called “Marvel Noir.”

Spider-Ham (Peter Porker)

Voiced by: John Mulaney
First Comic Appearance: Marvel Tails Starring Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham#1 (1983)
Movie Character Description: “Spider-Ham, a superhero who would easily feel at home in the classic toons of the ‘40s and ‘50s. Spider-Ham was first introduced in Marvel comics by creators Tom DeFalco and Mark Armstrong in 1983. This version of the character allowed the artists to have a lot of fun with rubber-hose style animation and visuals that are loose and graphic and stand out from the other figures in Miles’ universe. Spider-Ham follows the rules of his own animated universe and can even throw a black circle on a wall and climb right through”
Additional Background: Spider-Ham comes from Earth-8311 which is filled with anthropomorphic versions of Marvel characters, such as “Deerdevil” and “Quacksilver.” While it might seem like he’s all jokes, he’s fought alongside the other Spider characters as a member of the Web-Warriors.

SP//dr (Peni Parker)

Voiced by: Kimiko Glenn
First Comic Appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse #5 (2014)
Movie Character Description: “This anime Spidey heroine hails from a future version of earth. Orphaned at a young age, Peni was raised by her Uncle Ben and Aunt May, but she carries on her father’s legacy by operating the SP//dr Mecha suit abandoned by her father years ago. The suit’s head is also the home of a radioactive spider that shares a psychic link with the pilot. “
Additional Background: Peni is from Earth-14512 and was created by Gerard Way and Jake Wyatt. On her earth, she faces an enemy mecha suit called “VEN#m.”

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse premieres in theaters on December 14.  Tickets are on sale now.
