Ironheart Recruits Chinaka Hodge as Head Writer

Ironheart has found its head writer! One of the upcoming Disney+ shows that are currently in development stages is Ironheart, which will introduce Riri Williams into the MCU. Dominique Thorne was cast as the titular heroine back in December when the show got announced during Disney’s Investor Day.

After several months of no updates, Variety has revealed that Chinaka Hodge has boarded Ironheart as the head writer! Hodge is an established poet as well as screenwriter, with past work including Apple+’s Amazing Stories reboot, TNT’s Snowpiercer, and more.

According to additional reports, Ironheart season 1 will consist of six episodes, which has been the case for shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, as well as the upcoming Loki show. Production is also officially set to start in May, meaning more casting news and additional details are on their way!

Ironheart is one of the multiple Disney+ originals that are in the works from Marvel Studios, with Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, and many more.
