Ho, ho, Hawkeye? Marvel gifted fans with an early holiday present by releasing the Hawkeye trailer.
Fans anxiously awaiting the MCU debut of Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) won’t be disappointed with this action-packed Hawkeye trailer that gives off some Die Hard vibes.
Kate Bishop also uses the name Hawkeye in Marvel Comics, and it seems like the MCU is ready for her to take up the mantle.
Before we get to Kate in the trailer we learn that there’s a new vigilante taking up the Ronin mantle, and Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) decides to investigate.
The trailer also teases the tracksuit Russians from the comics and Kate’s dead (?) mom, meaning there are plenty more mysteries to be revealed. Fans of the comics will be happy to see how much the show seems to be pulling from the pivotal Matt Fraction and David Aja run of Hawkeye.
The most surprising part of the trailer might be when we get a glimpse of a Hamilton-esque Rogers: The Musical, which is apparently a thing. How can we buy tickets?

We can’t wait to see more of Kate, Clint, and Lucky the Pizza dog (!) teaming up this holiday season.
Joining the Hawkeye trailer is a festive Christmas-themed poster:
